Albion Chamber of Commerce Minutes

1-12-12 ANNUAL Meeting

Meeting was held at the Blessed Sacrament Church with President Phyllis Herendeen welcoming everyone.   The meeting was called to order at 6:07 pm. We had 49 people present.  A few came in late as the weather was cold and windy and the roads were bad.

Joy Lecount led the prayer prior to dinner being served.

The 2012 official ballot including a by-law change was explained to guests.

A 2011 list of Chamber expenditures was handed out per our by-laws.

3 centerpieces compliments of Lily of the Valley were won by:

Orland Leitch, Gary Fry and Megan Brazzell

Dairy Queen provided the ice cream cake for dessert.

New Business:

Certificates for Town Enhancements and/or Improvements were given to the following:

A plaque was made for Gregg Gorsuch for his many years of service on the Chamber Board but unfortunately Gregg was in the hospital.

Intro/Networking: Each business or individual was given a chance to introduce themselves and report what is happening with them and/or their business.

2012 Elections:  6 positions up for election: Kevin-Gregg-Barb-Phyllis-Lanette-Sharon

Gregg does not want to be on the ballot.  Steve Lemish and Mary Ann Troutner have been added to the ballot. Top 3 vote getters will be assigned a 2 year term while all others will be 1 year terms.

2012 Election Results counted by Carla and Randy (29 ballots total)

Kevin-28         Lanette-27      Phyllis-24        2 year terms

Steve-23         Sharon-22       Barb-16           1 year terms

Mary Ann Troutner received 13 votes

02-13-12 is next Board meeting at Brick Ark B & B at noon.

02-20-12 is next Chamber meeting at the Kountry Kitchen at noon.

Adjournment at 7:13pm as weather was getting worse.
