Much history is in the making in Albion, Indiana because it is the seat of Noble County government, and has been since 1846. The town's centerpiece is the Noble County Courthouse, on a well-manicured square surrounded on all sides by businesses and offices.
Historical preservation takes place a block away at the Old Jail Museum, which is owned and operated by the Noble County Historical Society.
Albion has been home to such well-known former residents as E. Ross Adair, the late U.S. congressman and ambassador to Ethiopia, and Willis Eagles, the later U.S. Army general.
Albion has the population of 2284 persons and Noble County has a population of 46,275 persons. The estimated population of the twenty (20) mile trading area of Albion is over 90,000.
Albion is located in a gently rolling area of the north central plains. The area has many small lakes formed during the glacial age. These lakes provide many recreational advantages to the area.
Albion Chamber of Commerce Annual Membership Fee Deadline February 15
The Albion Area Chamber of Commerce annual membership fee is due February 15. Any area industry or business who services Albion is welcome and encouraged to join the Albion Chamber of Commerce.
If you did not receive a dues form in the mail, you can either cut out the form below or go to the chamber website at albionin.org, print a dues form and mail it in along with your check.
Dues go towards the betterment of the Albion area community which includes improving and beautifying our community. The Chamber also promotes commerce development and a variety of other community projects/events.
In addition, the Chamber prints approximately 2,500 directories that provide out of town guests, new community members as well as local residents, a look at what the Albion Area Community offers. In turn, it promotes the industries and businesses by advertising their name and phone number in the directory. The directory is a listing of the Albion Chamber members as well as churches, parks, service organizations and government services. Along with the chamber members name is their street address and phone number. A town map and a brief history of the Albion area is also included in the directory. FREE copies are available at local chamber members businesses. To be included in the Albion Chamber Directory, we must receive your dues no later than February 15.
Helping beautify and promote the community in which you live and/or work along with your company name on the Chamber's website and in the directory, all for only $55 for businesses and $100 for industry.
As a part of your dues, your business name will also be listed on the chamber website at albionin.org. If you'd like your business logo included on the website, please email it to: chamber@albionin.org. This is included in your membership fee as well.
Albion Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary non-profit organization of the business community advancing the interests of business, industry and professional firms in the Albion area. The strength of the chamber lies in attracting the greatest number of members and creating a united pool of resources from which to draw ideas, energy and finances.
The Albion Chamber of Commerce Mission is to promote and develop the commerce and character of the Albion area, through a cooperative network of leadership and involvement of business, industry and the community at large.
